RED DEVILS TOP GLENBARD WEST 13-11!

Despite giving up 6 runs in the 1^st inning, Central rallied to beat the Hilltoppers in the second game of the conference series.

Central got on the board in the 2^nd inning with singles from Alex Tufano and Matt Sliter.  Chris Bobo reached on an error and Pat Foley got an RBI groundout to score Tufano.  Jacques Camalick belted a double down the left field line scoring 2 runs bringing Central within 3. 

The Red Devils added 3 runs in the 3^rd as Mac Burridge reached on an error and Tufano launched a 2 run shot over the fence.  Bobo put one over the left field wall to tie the score at 6.  Glenbard added 1 in the bottom of the 3^rd on a double and 2 singles.

Camalick led off the 4^th with a single. Cooper Travis singled and Jack Hellwig laid down a sac bunt to advance the runners.  Burridge singled and scored 2 runs.  Tufano reached on an error scoring Burridge.  Matt Sliter singled plating the 4^th run of the inning.

Senior left hander Peter Marquardt entered the game in relief in the bottom of the 4^th with 2 men aboard.  Shortstop Matt Anderson made a nice grab to shut down the rally.  Glenbard added 1 run in the 6^th to tie the score at 10.

Sliter led off the 7^th taking one for the team.  Bobo laid down a sac bunt and Pat Foley doubled scoring Sliter.  Camalick singled, stole second and Foley scored on the throw to 2^nd.  Travis and Hellwig drew walks to load the bases.  Burridge singled and Camalick scored giving Central a 13-10 lead.

The Hilltoppers picked up a run in the bottom of the 7^th, but Marquardt struck out 2 with the bases loaded to end the game.

Pahos pitched 3 innings allowing 9 runs on 11 hits with 1 hit batter and 2 strike outs.

Marquardt threw 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 2 hits with 3 walks, 2 hit batters and 4 punch outs.
