Central Defeats Warriors In 5
Innings!
David Kiyosaki pitched all 5
innings allowing 6 runs (3
earned) on 5 hits, 1 walk and 1
hit batter with 3 strikeouts as
the Red Devils took on the
Warriors in non-conference
action in Hinsdale. Central
held Willowbrook scoreless in
the first inning, thanks to an
awesome double play turned by
Jason McClain who fielded the
ball at 1st, threw to
Stevo Kraynak covering 2nd,
and back to Kiyosaki covering 1st
base. The Red Devils scored 4
in the bottom of the 1st
as Kraynak and Matt Anderson
singled. Josh Camalick (3 for
4) launched an RBI double down
the right field line to score
Kraynak. Rob Bellusci (2 for 3)
drew a walk to load up the bases
for Ryan Connelly (2 for 4) who
knocked in Anderson and Camalick
with a 2 run single. The
runners advanced into scoring
position on a passed ball and
McClain reached base allowing
Bellusci to cross home plate.
The Warriors added 1 run in the
top of the 2nd
inning. Central took a 7-1 lead
in the bottom of the inning as
Connor Marrero (2 for 5)
singled, advanced on ground
balls to 3rd and
scored as Camalick hit an RBI
single. Charlie Herr (2 for 3)
was next to bat and blasted an
RBI double scoring Camalick.
Bellusci added an RBI single to
plate Herr.
In the 3rd, Jason
McClain singled, advanced to 2nd
on a sac bunt by John Duffy and
took 3rd on a passed
ball. Marrero reached base
plating McClain. Kraynak walked
and the runners advanced into
scoring position on a wild
pitch. Anderson drove in
Marrero with an RBI ground out.
Willowbrook added 2 in the 4th
and 3 in the 5th to
pull within 3.
Central sealed the win scoring 7
runs in the bottom of the 5th
as John Duffy led off with a
line drive double to right
center field and scored on an
RBI single by Marrero.Anderson
doubled to left center field and
Camalick drove in Marrero with
an RBI single. Herr singled
driving in Anderson, Bellusci
loaded the bases with a single
and Connelly singled sharply up
the middle driving in 2. Duffy
walked and the runners advanced
into scoring position on a wild
pitch. Marrero reached base
allowing 2 runs to score, ending
the game at 16-6. |
