On a beautiful sunny May day
where the temperature hovered
around 80 degrees, the Red
Devils traveled to Morton High
School for the second game of
the series. The afternoon
started off well for the Red
Devils as they jumped out to an
early 2-0 lead in the top of the

Marrero reached base and Matt
Anderson launched a 2 run homer
over the right field fence. The
lead wouldn’t last as the

the bottom of the 1st.
The 2nd, 3rd,
and 4th innings were
scoreless for both teams.
Central tied it up at 3 in the
top of the 5th inning

Bellusci singled. Josh Camalick
(2 for 4) drove in Marrero with
an RBI single. Morton took a
7-3 lead in the bottom of the 5th
as they put 4 runs on the
board. Central responded in the
top of the 6th as
Charlie Herr doubled, David
Kiyosaki reached base and Ryan
Connelly hit an RBI single
scoring Herr. John Duffy
advanced the runners into
scoring position with a sac
bunt, but all were left
stranded. Central added 1 more
in the 7th inning as

singled, Stevo Kraynak advanced
the runners into scoring
position on a ground ball and
