RED DEVILS FALL SHORT IN SEASON
OPENER!
The Hinsdale Central Varsity
baseball team dropped it’s home
opener against Oak Lawn on a
mild, windy and wet Tuesday
afternoon. It was a pitcher’s
duel for the most of the
afternoon with only a few hits
allowed. Ryan Connelly and Rob
Bellusci each had singles. Down
2-0 in the bottom of the seventh
inning, second baseman Matt
Anderson tagged a solo home run
over the right center field
fence to put the Red Devils on
the board. Connelly and Bellusci
both reached base and Stevo
Kraynak took one for the team to
load the bases with 2 outs. Josh
Camalick hammered a line drive
straight to the center fielder
to end the game at 2-1.
David Kiyosaki pitched 3 strong
innings allowing 1 hit 1 walk
and 2 strikeouts. Will Pahos
threw 2 innings allowing 1 run
on 3 hits with 2 walks and 2
punch-outs. John Duffy closed
out the final 2 innings allowing
1 run on 2 hits with 1 walk
while fanning 3.
