Spacapan Sparkles for Devils
If there is such a thing as a
game of two halves, then this
proved to be a day of two
games. With the Devils going
down easily to the Lions in Game
1 of the double header, Hinsdale
bounced back with a vengeance in
Game 2. John Spacapan, starting
for Hinsdale, held LT scoreless
through four with his fastball
confounding the Lions’ offence.
The Red Devils had jumped to an
early 4-0 lead (Ryan Daspin
2 RBI, John Olsen 2 RBI) and
never looked back. John
Spacapan completed the one man
show knocking in Hinsdale’s
fifth run in fourth and staying
on the mound through the sixth
inning. Ryan Daspin entered as
closer for the Devils in the
seventh. The Lion’s did manage
a consolation run in the final
inning on an error but never
threatened once Daspin found his
speed and location. |
