The
Red Devils came out fighting
despite the freezing cold and
wind. Andrew's first man on
base was thrown out stealing
second by a perfectly executed
Foley throw to Owen.
Getting us started in the third,
Olson put an end to Andrew's no
hitter. Spacapan's double in
the 4th and subsequent stolen
base put us on the board when
Bobo drove him in.
A catch by Gilbert in Left gave
us a badly needed out in the
fifth as Andrew was still
leading. Foley then started us
off with a beautiful over the
fence home run, followed by a
Blodgett single.
A skillful catch by Zarcone in
center got us out of the sixth.
With 2 outs Conte hit a rip past
the short stop, but the valiant
efforts were not enough. The
game was called due to time and
Andrew won 9-3. All in all
great practice for Saturday's
double header against Lyons
Township. GO RED DEVIL'S!! |
