In keeping with
Illinois spring high school baseball, we
are off to our typical wet weather,
unpredictable driven practices and game
schedules! Did we say schedules?? Anyone
who has been through baseball seasons in
Illinois recognizes that this time of
year is extremely tough on any schedule.
Add to that the various conditions of
school fields in the West Surburban
Conference and it’s a sure bet that
there will be many times parents and
players will not know if and where we
will play until the last minute. To
address this we have a big red “GAME
DELAY” button at the bottom left on the
opening website page below the varsity
team photo. This takes you to the main
HTHSC athletic website where you can
view current sports announcements
regarding the current games status. You
will also find on that same opening web
page a direction button for those hard
to find fields.
Please keep in
mind it does take time to update the
site with scores, photos, news etc. We
have info coming in from 3 levels of
play and needless to say many of us have
regular jobs to pay those ever
increasing bills. So, with that said, we
would like to thank ALL volunteers at
all levels that help not only with this
site but are “Pitching in” at the Devil
Diner, with Roster boards, the program
book, year end banquet and snapping a
few photos here and there. You make this
web-site and all enhancements to the
baseball program in general possible!!
If by chance you can find some extra
time in your busy schedule, please
volunteer for Devil Diner duty or sign
up for a committee that will help
further advance your sons baseball
experience at Hinsdale Central. Who
knows, you might even have a little fun
or meet someone new!! We welcome any
comments or ideas, feel free to drop us
