Duffy Pitches Complete Game As Camalick
Is 1 Hit Shy Of The Cycle

John Duffy held Proviso East to just 3 runs on 3 hits with 3 walks and 7 strike-outs in an outstanding complete game performance.  He was helped out by the offense which accumulated 18 hits on the day and everyone in the line-up contributed at least 1 hit.  Josh Camalick had a single, double and a triple, just 1 home run away from hitting for the cycle.

The first 2 innings were scoreless and Central struck first in the top of the 3^rd when Tyler Swade singled followed by a sac bunt from Connor Marrero.  Richie Zajeski blasted an RBI double to left field scoring Swade.  Camalick singled and Scottie Zender singled bringing Zajeski home.  Scott Anderko doubled off of the left center field fence to score Zender for a 3-0 lead.  Proviso East put 3 on the board in the bottom of the inning to tie it up at 3-3.  Mike Rogowski led off the 4^th inning with a single followed by Duffy who also singled.  Swade laid down a sac bunt to bring Rogowski home.  Marrero singled, stole 2^nd and Duffy scored on an RBI ground out by Zajseski.  Camalick hammered a double to right center field bringing Marrero home while Zender added a single in the inning.  The Red Devils held Proviso scoreless for the rest of the game and added 2 more insurance runs in the 6^th.  Zajeski walked, stole 2^nd and came home on an RBI triple deep into the right field corner by Camalick.  Anderko added a single scoring Camalick.  In the 7^th inning, Duffy drew a walk and Swade and Marrero singled to load the bases but were left stranded.  Catcher Camalick had a nice pick off at 1^st base in the bottom of the 7^th.
