Scott Anderko Pitches A Complete Game In 9-2 Win!

Pitcher Scott Anderko threw all seven innings allowing only 4 hits, 4 walks, 2 runs and racking up 14 punch-outs on the day.  In the top of the first, Richie Zajeski and Charlie Herr reached base on singles and Josh Camalick hammered a two run triple into the right center field gap to bring them home.  Anderko hit a single to score Camalick.  Proviso got on the board with 1 run in the bottom of the first.  In the second, Central struck again for 3 runs when Mike Rogowski walked, stole second and Connor Marrero belted a single to score Rogowski.  Zajeski, who had 3 hits on the day, advanced Marrero on a sacrifice.  Kiyosaki reached base and Marrero scored on a double by Charlie Herr and Camalick had an RBI ground out scoring Kiyosaki.  Central held Proviso scoreless for 5 innings behind the stellar pitching of Anderko and strong defense.  The Red Devils added 2 runs in the fourth inning aided by a double by Brendan Sullivan.  Central added 1 run in the seventh inning and cruised to a 9-2 victory over conference opponent Proviso West.
