Well Balanced Attack Leads To 12-2 Win Over Proviso!

The Red Devils got on the board early in the first inning with patience at the plate and a few timely hits.  Connor Marrero, Charlie Herr and Ryan Connelly scored to take a 3-0 lead.  Central added 2 more to the total in the second and Mike Rogowski held Proviso scoreless in the first two innings aided by a double play ball fielded by Josh Camallick to Tyler Swade to Herr at first to retire the side.  The Red Devils added 1 run in the third and 2 in the fourth on a double to the right center field gap by Camalick.  Rogowski allowed 2 runs in 4 innings on 5 hits, 2 walks and 6 strike-outs.  Mike Parker pitched the 5^th inning allowing 1 hit and striking out one.  Central added 3 more runs in the 6^th on a single by Sean O’Grady and an RBI grounder by Tyler Swade.  The game was called in the bottom of the 6^th inning due to heavy rain and Central claimed a very soggy 12-2 victory!
