Hinsdale Falls To Conference Rival Lyons Township

Central got off to a good start in the 1^st inning when Richie Zajeski singled, stole second and scored on a double to right center field by Josh Camalick.  LT answered with 2 runs in the bottom of the 1^st to take the lead.  Both teams were held scoreless in the 2^nd and 3^rd inning in what looked to be a hard fought game between two good teams.  The Red Devils rallied for 3 in the 4^th when Scottie Zender lead off the inning with a walk, stole 2^nd and scored on an RBI single by Camalick.  Charlie Herr doubled, advancing Camalick to 3^rd  who later scored on a passed ball.  Brendan Sullivan walked, Herr scored on a passed ball and Central took a 4-2 lead.  Unfortunately the lead changed again quickly in the bottom of the 4^th when LT racked up 8 runs on numerous miscues by the Central defense.  The team couldn’t find a way to get back in the game and remained scoreless in the final 3 innings.  Lyons added 1 more in the 5^th inning and held on for an 11-4 victory.

Scottie Zender pitched 5 innings allowing 11 runs (5 earned) on 9 hits, 4 walks and 5 strikeouts.  Scott Anderko pitched 1 inning allowing 1 hit, 1 walk and 1 strikeout.
