Central Scores Early and Often In 6-2 Win Over Andrew

Pitcher Scottie Zender started the top of the first inning off by striking out all three Andrew batters.  The Red Devils got on the board in the first with 2 outs when David Kiyosaki continued his hot hitting streak with a single to right field.  Walks were issued to Scottie Zender and Josh Camalick to load the bases for Charlie Herr who laced a double over the right fielder’s head to score Kiyosaki and Zender.  Andrew scored on a walk and two singles in the second.  Central struck again when Connor Marrero reached base and stole two bases to score on a wild pitch.  Rob Bellusci walked and scored on a double by David Kiyosaki.  Camalick and Herr walked and Garrett Kawa reached base in the third with two runs scored on errors. Zender held Andrew scoreless for the next three innings.  He pitched 5 innings allowing 2 hits, 4 walks and 1 run while striking out five on the day.  With runners at first and second base, the 5^th inning was closed out by a fantastic triple play by Charlie Herr who made a leaping grab at first base and snagged a screamer for the first out, tagged the runner coming back for the second out,  and fired to second base for the third out.  Andrew scored once in the 6^th inning on bask to back walks and a single.  Scott Anderko finished off the game pitching 2 innings with I hit, 2 walks 1 run and 1 strike-out to end the game in a Red Devil victory!
