Frosh A and B shut down York
The frosh A team beat York 10-0 today in six innings at home, and at York the B team won 14-2.
At home solid hitting, defense and pitching propelled the Red Devils to victory. The Devils plated four runs in the bottom of the first, aided by four York errors. Jack Hellwig led off with a single. He scored on a fielders choice by Mike Discipio. Al Kirk singled and then scored on an Alex Tufano single, who later scored on an error. Stevo Kraynak singled and scored on a Will Pahos single to end the scoring in the inning. Kraynak had a two hit game. Pahos pitched six innings, striking out 10.
At York Colby Ourada hit a home run while Drew Kornack and Carson Elmore combined to pitch six innings of two hit ball. In the field Jake Pinske made an outstanding catch, and Chris O’Hare made a diving catch to end the game. |
