Red Devil Frosh Take Two from Lyons Township
Rafferty pitches no-no v. LT in A game
The Red Devil frosh completed the sweep of LT today at Hinsdale. As they did in the first game of the series on Saturday, the Red Devils jumped out to an early 7-0 lead after two innings. They finished the Lions in six innings behind a potent offense and the strong pitching of Jason Rafferty.
Rafferty struck out five while walking two for the no hitter. Alex Tufano and Al Kirk continued their hot hitting. Tufano was 4 for 4, with a BOMB to right, a double and 4 RBI. Kirk was also 4 for 4, with a double and 2 RBI. Rafferty was 3 for 3 with a double. Stevo Kraynak drove in the 10th run in the bottom of the sixth with no outs to end the game.
Red Devil B’s Take One at LT in B game
Chris O’Hare started and pitched two innings. Carson Elmore pitched 4 2/3 and Cooper Travis finished the game. Together they held LT to 4 runs.
O’Hare and Victor Twardowski both had timely RBI singles. Nick Tyson had a base hit bunt to add to the Red Devils’ total.
Aaron Arnold made a tremendous catch in the fifth to stop an LT rally.
