"Ourada still perfect, Cimala just grand"
Kasey Ourada remains undefeated this season as he posted a six inning nine strikeout 12 – 4 victory. Will Lamb came into the seventh inning striking out one to close out the game. For Ourada there was a runner on base every inning but he seems to thrive with that challenge. The middle infielder’s Andrew Nicholas and Drew Bailey made many important putouts to hold the score down.
The offense got back on track with Colin Cimala providing the spark with a single, walk and a grand slam home run in the 5 run 6th inning. Andrew Nicholas was on base 3 times with a single, double and reached base on an error driving in one run and scoring one run. Tobi Adeyemi walked in the 6th inning and scored on Cimala’s home run. Brett Suchy reached base in the 5th inning with a walk. Mark Noth was on base twice with a single and then reached base on an error in the 4th inning and scored on a Morse single. Morse also tripled and hit a home run driving in 3 runs and scoring 3 runs. Alex Bellusci reached base 3 times, beginning in the 4th inning by doubling which drove in 1 run and he scored a run. In the 5th Belluschi got on base on an error that scored Morse, and then in the 6th he walked. Sam Katz doubled in the 4th inning to score two runs and then scored on a Nicholas single and also walked in the 6th. Drew Bailey reached base on two walks scoring once in the 6th inning. A most productive game for the whole lineup! |
