On the move for another win streak!
The Red Devils bounced back to take the second game of the doubleheader with the York Dukes with a 9-7 win. Kasey Ourada pitched 6 innings striking out 5 giving up 5 runs on 9 hits. Charlie Thomas came in to pitch in the seventh inning and got his 3rd save of the season yielding 2 runs on 2 hits.
The run scoring started in the first inning. Andrew Nicholas walked, followed by Tobi Adeyemi who also walked. With 1 out Mark Noth (2B, 1B) pounded a double down the left field line scoring Nicholas. With 2 outs Colin Cimala hit a home run over the center field fence scoring Adeyemi and Noth. The 2nd inning started with Sam Katz(2-1B) reaching first on a drop 3rd strike. With one out, Nicholas stepped to the plate and hit a home run over the left center field fence scoring Katz. Scoring resumed in the 5th with the hot hitting Noth singling, followed by Brett Morse who reached on a fielder’s choice but was cut down stealing second. Cimala was hit by a pitch and moved to 2nd with a stolen base followed by Alex Bellusci who walked. Next, Drew Bailey (1B, 2B) doubled, scoring Bellusci and Katz. Katz then singled to score Cimala. This closed out the scoring with a 9 7 victory to avenge the loss in the opener. |
