The Red Devil Sophomore team suffered a 10-4 loss at the hands of the Andrew Lightning Bolts on Monday in Tinley Park.

Catcher Brad Sesser led the offensive attack with a triple and a single.  The Devils pushed across a run in the first inning on a single by Mike Imke (1-3), a walk to Matt Meyer (0-1, 3 walks, 2 runs) and a passed ball.  They also scored single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.  Slesser led off the fifth with a blast to the right center field fence for a triple.  Garrett CookÕs two out single brought home pinch runner Mike OÕReilly from third.  In the sixth, Meyer walked, stole second, and scored when Brock Piche reached on an error.  The DevilÕs scored their final run in the seventh on a single by Slesser, a stolen base by pinch runner Troy Lang and a solid RBI single by Matt Murray.

Hinsdale pitchers Will Edwards (3 innings, 3 ER, 4 Walks, 3 HBP) and Garrett Cook (3 innings, 6 ER, 4 Walks, 3 HBP) battled wildness throughout the game.  Edwards escaped bases loaded jams in the second and third innings, allowing only one run while recording two strike outs.

The Sophomores resume action on Tuesday March 28th with a double at Wheaton-Warrenville South.
