In the second game of the twinbill, Hinsdale was on the short side of a tough 3-2 decision. Willowbrook scored two runs with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning to grab the victory.
Pitcher Bill Auriemma gave up only two earned runs while walking two and striking out three over six innings.
The Devils struck first. With one out Zach Leathers (1-2, run, SB) was hit by a pitch and stole second. After an infield out, Harrison Dahl (3-3, RBI) singled to score Leathers. In the fifth inning, Tim Kanter (1-2,BB,run) led off with a single. After a strike out, Mike Imke (1-3) singled with Kanter stopping at second base. Leathers' line drive up the middle was turned into a force out at second with Kanter scoring on an overthrow to first base. Leathers was stranded at second base when the inning ended on a pitcher to first put out.
