1.St. Rita (19-3): Mustangs ended 2-game losing streak with 13-3, 6-inning home win against De La Salle. Winner Matt Conrath (5-1) struck out 6 and walked none.
2.Lyons (19-4): Dan Weston (6-0) struck out 14 and didn't allow earned run in 5-1 win against York in Game 1. Kyle Corcoran followed with 8 strikeouts and 1 earned run in 9-3 nightcap win.
3.Lockport (18-4): Had weekend off to prepare for rematch with Sandburg on Tuesday at home. Porters beat Eagles 5-0 in Orland Park on Thursday.
4.Joliet Catholic (18-3): Hilltoppers swept St. Pat's 18-2 (5 innings) and 10-0 (6). Tony Testin improved to 3-0 and Brett Ratajczak went 4-for-4 with 4 RBIs in opener. In second game, Steve Kazak (5-1) allowed 1 hit and Ken Tezak hit 2-run homer.
5.Hinsdale Central (18-4): Colin Cimala had grand slam and 5 RBIs and Kasey Ourada (5-0) had 10 strikeouts in 6 innings in 12-4 win vs. Downers Grove North. Brett Suchy scored first run and drove in last in 6-run, seventh-inning rally for 10-9 2nd game 2 win.
6.Benet (17-5): Defeated Carmel 2-0 (10 innings) and 11-1 (6). Kevin Kulig (5-2) pitched 4 innings of relief for win. Mick Doyle had game-winning RBI on bases-loaded walk. Chris Pack had homer and 5 RBIs to bolster Connor Powers (3-0) in nightcap.
7.Nazareth Academy (21-3): Roadrunners swept past St. Joe's 6-4 and 6-0. Gio Cantwell improved to 7-0 with 9 K's in 6 innings and Tony Harvat had 2 RBIs in opener. David Nelson (2-0) pitched 5 innings in nightcap.
8.Stevenson (16-5): Ended 2-game losing streak with 5-4 win over Buffalo Grove. Nate Malmquist knocked in 3 with HR and game-winning double. Mike Huffey (2-0) got win with 12/3 innings of relief.
9.Naperville Central (17-5): Colin Bates (3-1) allowed 1 hit in 3-0 win vs. Glenbard East. Redhawks overcame 7-0 deficit to win nightcap 8-7 in 10. Garrett Branisel had game-winning hit.
10.Naperville North (14-3): Swept West Aurora 8-1 and 9-1. Steve Hlavac (2-0) won opener. Hlavac, Matt Watson and Kevin Connors hit solo HRs in sixth. Hlavac and Watson went deep again in nightcap.
