Eric Binder stayed undefeated in a 7 4 victory over Addison Trail. Binder pitched seven innings striking out eight and giving up 4 runs on 7 hits. He got out of a bases loaded jam in the first and kept the ball low all game producing 11 infield outs.
The Red Devils got on the scoreboard in the second when Will Lamb, Alex Bellusci and Charlie Thomas had consecutive singles scoring Lamb. In the third inning Tim Connelly doubled then scored on an error when Mike Grzelakowski hit a ball to the pitcher who over threw first base. In the sixth with the Red Devils behind 3 2 Mark Noth stepped to the plate and hit a prodigious home run over the center field fence. Next up Lamb singled followed by a Bellusci single, both scored on an error by the third baseman as Thomas it a ball to him who then threw the ball into right field. The inning ended with the Devils leading 5 4. In the seventh Ricky Berdelle walked and moved to third on a Nick Kurash single. Kurash advanced to second on a ground out by Tom Schultz followed by Noth’s single which scored Berdelle and Kurash closing out the scoring and securing a 7 4 win.
