BACK TO BACK JACKS LEAD FOUNTAS TO VICTORY
Hinsdale Central completed a three game sweep of the improved Proviso West Panthers behind the complete game 10 strikeout performance of Anthony Fountas and back to back jacks by Brett Morse and Mark Noth.
Hinsdale scored three in the first when Connor Lind doubled, advanced on Dustin Reznicek's single and scored on Chad Bisnette's single and Brett Morse's sac fly.
Two more were added in the second when a singling Dan Portschy and Andrew Nicholas moved up on a Colin Cook sacrifice bunt and scored on Lind's sac fly and Rez's double.
The Red Devils put the game out of reach when Garrett Sosnovich opened the third with a double and crossed home after Morse's shot to left which was followed by Noth's jack to the football field. Rez scored in the fourth and Portschy and Nicholas scored in the fifth on Lind's rbi and good baserunning.
Will Lamb scrambled around the bases in the seventh to tally the twelfth run in the seventh.
Fountas was in command and fanned 10 who were baffled by his changing speeds, arm angles and variety of pitches in notching a complete game victory.
