15K Binder Blanks Panthers
Eric Binder was a magician on the mound allowing only 2 hits and no runs over 6 innings. The first 15 outs were strikeouts, then in the 6th Andrew Nicholas made an assist and Ricky Berdelle got two assists. Eric even tried out a new pitch in the 6th that made its way to the Red Devil dugout (ha).
Offensively the Red Devils started in the first inning. Dustin Reznicek lashed a double followed by Chad Bisnette’s walk. Colin Cimala stepped up to the plate and ripped a double on the first pitch scoring Reznicek and Bisnette, Cimala then proceeded to third on a wild pitch. Brett Morse then walked and stole second base. On Dan Portschy’s infield out Cimala scored and Morse moved to third. Morse scored on a Nicholas single who then stole second during Mark Noth’s turn at the plate and eventually walked. Binder was then walked loading the bases. Connor Lind then hit a single which scored Nicholas and Noth closing out the scoring at 6 runs.In the 6th inning scoring resumed when Binder reached first on an error and stole second. Lind reached base on an error then consecutive walks to Reznicek and Bisnette scored Binder. Morse then doubled which scored Lind and Reznicek. Berdelle coaxed a walk to load the bases and when Nicholas was at bat the pitcher threw a wild pitch allowing Bisnette to score and end the game 10 – 0.
