ADDISON PECKS THE RED DEVILS

Addison Trail recovered from their weekend drubbing by pecking away at Red Devils in a come from behind extra inning thriller.

It looked like it was going to be easy when Chad Bisnette's reached in the first and scored on Garrett Sosnovich's rbi single followed by Brett Morse's double and Andrew Nicholas' rbi single.

Starter Nick Kurash was cruising until the third when the Trailblazers tied the game. The Red Devils recaptured in the fourth when Nicholas came home on a Doug Pilcher smash. Addison came back on back to back doubles before Rick Berdelle came in to close the door in the fourth.

Addison plated another in the fifth but the resilient Devils grabbed the lead in the fifth when a singling Dustin Reznicek came home on Biz's pounding an 0-2 pitch on top of the maintenance shed. Addison added one in the sixth to tie the game.

It appeared as if the Red Devils would win in the bottom of the seventh when they loaded the bases with one out, but hot hitter Morse's scorched line drive down the right field line was snared by the first baseman who stepped on first to retire the side.

Addison added 2 in the eighth. Hinsdale tried to respond with hits by Nicholas and Pilcher but could not push another run across
.
