In the second JV game with LT the Red Devils were ambushed in the first inning when LT scored 5 runs against Kevin Quirke who made two mistakes, a 2 run home run and a 3 run home run. Quirke then settled down and pitched 3 scoreless innings until Alex Bellusci came into the 5th and pitched the last 3 innings giving up 2 runs on 2 hits and striking out three.
Offensively Bellusci (2-2, 2 singles & walk) continued his hot hitting and scored 2 of the 3 runs for the Red Devils. Andrew Nicholas (1-3, single) and Will Lamb (1-3, single) had hits and Drew Bailey (2 walks) was on base twice and hit a run scoring sacrifice fly. |
