B- Bombers Slaughter OPRF 16-4!
The Red Devil Freshman ‘B’ team crushed Oak Park River Forest 16-4 in 5 innings in Oak Park. Hinsdale scored in all 5 innings. Mike Novack stroked a bases clearing triple in the four run 2nd. The Devils put the game out of reach with an eight run 5th inning. The highlight of the inning was a perfectly executed suicide squeeze bunt by Novack (2-3, 3 runs, 5 RBI) who drove in a charging Tim Kanter. Matt Huber’s (1-3, 2 runs, 2 RBI) two run triple into the left field gap closed out the scoring.
Aaron Gay (3-3, 2 runs, 2 RBI) complimented his perfect day at the plate with a diving catch in center field and throw to 2nd base to complete the double play. Matt Meyer (2-3, 3 runs, RBI) and Will Enright (2-3, run) also had strong offensive showings.
Harrison Dahl pitched two shut out innings and Matt Murray pitched the final three to earn the victory.
