Red Devils fall short against LT
LT took advantage of six Hinsdale errors in route to a 8-6 victory over the Red Devils ‘B’ team. Tim Kanter (2-3, 2 RBI) started the Devils scoring in the bottom of the 3rd inning with a solo home run to right center field. Hinsdale added three runs in the 4th after loading the bases with no outs. Steve McKinnley (2-4, 1 run) started the inning with an infield single. Mike Novack walked and Troy Laing (2-4, 2 runs) laced a single to left. After scoring two runs on consecutive infield outs, Kanter singled to score Lang. The Devils cut a four run deficit in half with two more runs in the sixth. After Novack walked, Lang tripled, before Matt Meyer (1-4, 2 RBI) and Aaron Gay singled for two runs. Meyer and Gay were stranded on base when the inning ended.
Will Edwards, Matt Murray and Gay shared the pitching duties with Gay allowing only an unearned run over the last three innings.
