The Red Devil freshman team completed the double header sweep with a 14 – 4 five inning slaughter of Glenbard West. Grant Slesser (4-4, 3 runs, 1 RBI) led a 16-hit attack with four hits and three runs scored. Hinsdale trailed 4 –2 before breaking through for six runs while batting around in the bottom of the third inning. With one out, Richie Brennan walked, Zach Leathers (2-4) doubled, Slesser singled to score Brennan. Jared White (2-4, 3 RBI) doubled driving in Leathers. Nick Baldwin (2-3, 3 RBI) doubled home White. Mike Imke (2-4, 2 RBI) singled scoring Baldwin. After Brock Piche (1-3, 2RBI) was hit by a pitch, Billy Auriemma (2-3, 1 RBI) drove in the innings final run with a sharp single. The Red Devils continued their hot hitting the by scoring five more runs in the 4th inning. Consecutive singles by Leathers, Slesser, White, and Baldwin ignited the rally.
Harrison Dahl struck out three while pitching four solid innings to get the win. Will Edwards pitched a scoreless fifth.
