Soph and Varsity Team Parent Representatives

This is a great opportunity to become a part of the Hinsdale Central Baseball Program – and watch some great baseball!

The position involves the following:

Season Kick-Off Meeting
This is the team/parent/coach meeting held after selection of the teams.  The coaches/baseball club president speak,  the teams are introduced, and the players sign the athletic code.

The baseball club collects dues, distributes information, and signs up volunteers.  You will want a total of four parents to help at the registration table and you should be there one hour before the scheduled meeting start.  You will be given pens, sign-up sheets and envelopes to assist you in the following:

• Collect dues.

• Have parents fill out name, address, e-mail information.

• Distribute the team roster, schedule and maps to away games.

• Sign up parents to work the concession stand.

• Sign up parents to host/assist in the team pasta parties.

• Sign up team photographers.

• Sign up parents to write game summaries.

• Encourage parents to volunteer their help for other baseball club events.

• Return all dues and sign up sheets to president.


Post Season Kick-Off

• Follow up on any uncollected dues.

• Notify team photographer to be at team photo shoot.

• Print and distribute schedules the concession stand assignment schedule.

• Print and distribute schedules to those hosting/assisting in the pasta parties.

• Remind host of pasta party one week in advance and request that they send flyers to the coach to be distributed to the team the week of the party.

• Set up a Team Hot Line to provide game information, directions, rainouts, rescheduling and other team news. This should be updated daily.  Contact Cindy Lind 325-7530 for set up.  You may do this yourself or delegate.

• Communicate information to team/parents as needed.
