PITCHES AND BAILEY HOMERS
Tim Connelly and Drew Bailey owned this game. Connelly pitched seven innings,
with 15 first pitch strikes allowing only one unearned run. Tim got great
defensive support from Mark Noth in right (3PO’s) Hugh Harris in
center (2PO’s) Alex Belluschi at short (4PO’s) Drew Bailey
at 3rd (2PO’s) Andrew Nicholas at 2nd (3PO’s) and Anthony
Fauntas at 1st (3PO’s).
Offensively the scoring started in the 2nd inning, Brett Morse hit a sharp
single to center advanced to second on a passed ball then to third when
Colin Cimala reached first base on an error by the first baseman. Two
batter later Mark Noth singled home Morse with the first run. Bailey then
stepped to the plate and hit a towering drive over the center fielders
head for a double scoring Noth and Cimala. In the 3rd inning Morse pounded
the ball over the left fielders head just missing the parking lot by 6
ft. but was held to a double and then was left on base. In the 4th inning
Anthony Fountas began with a double, Noth then laid down a perfect bunt
for a single. Bailey then launched a ball over the left fielders head
for a double scoring Fountas, Tim Connelly hit a sacrifice fly to score
Noth. Andrew Nicholas then singled to center scoring Bailey. In the 6th
inning Noth got on base with a walk, next Bailey came up to the plate
and on the second pitch hit a thundering home run to right center ending
the scoring. Alex Belluschi also had a single in the first inning.
